Ok, but there's better "pubs" in the area.
Ok, it's three stars becasue really, it's a bar like EVERY little bar in EVERY town in the US. They have decent beer, and OK burgers. Normally, this would get 2 stars by me, BUT the place is AWESOME if you are a Gonzaga fan, so you better not talk trash on the Zags while there. The owners kinda need to give the place a once over, but even if they did, the undergrads at gonzaga would tear it up. But, i digress..... The place is a decent pub, but MY big recommendation for a pub in Spokane is to go to O'doherty's and order the the fish and chips. Bottom line... It's decent, but nothing SUPER special.

Be careful who you cheer for!.
The one and only time I ever visited J & D's was in the early 90's. I didn't know who owned this establishment, but once my friend's and I started cheering for the Bull's and MJ while they were killing John Stockton and the Jazz I soon found out. I was told to be quiet or leave by John Stockton's dad. I told him he would have to throw me out because I wouldn't stop cheering for the winning Bull's. He threw me out. I guess having son who is a loser makes a guy cranky!

My Favorite Tavern in the whole world.
This is my favorite tavern in the whole world. The people are very cool, the sandwiches are great, and the beer is cold and cheap. Rumor has it that they will be expanding into a larger place with hard liquor. No worries they are not moving (just knocking the wall out) I hope they include the sandwiches on the new menu.
