The Good, The Bad, The Ugly.
The Good: Really GOOD Pizza. East Coast Style. Crust is perfectly charred showing they know what they're doing with the oven. Family run business . Local Business
The Bad: Really poor customer service. No numbers given or names taken when they are super busy. Everybody crowding the doorway and getting frustrated at being ignored.
If you ask if they take names they say no we know who's next. Sadly they just don't. (In their defense nobody could)
The Ugly: This is the second time on a busy Saturday night that things got ugly in the waiting line. People left after others were seated ahead of them and there was some ugly back and forth between two other parties about who was there first.
I REALLY want them to be better at the service part because I like the pizza so much. Customers shouldn't feel frustrated and confused as soon as they enter And it's such an easy fix. Put out a sign - Do you seat yourself or wait? Take a number. etc. The sign of stupidity is to keep doing the same thing and expect different outcomes. That applies to both the owners and their patrons. I'm taking the time to write this because I REALLY want them to improve. They could own Spokane Pizza with their great pizza if they would just listen to their patrons.
Lousy service, rude and not appreciative of ones business. They don't deserve any support, your money or your business. Go elsewhere you'll be glad you did.
Why do I keep going back? – Maybe it's just the vacuum in this city for good pizza, but Bennedito's flat out sucks. After 4 times in the last 4 months, I've finally realized it. After every order from this place I say I'll never do it again... this time it's the truth. The crust is soggy and flavorless, the toppings are average at best, and the only memorable part of the sauce is the spice... in fact, it seems like the sauce is spicy to accommodate for the lack of ANY other flavor.
High prices, poor food, and even worse customer service. The girl answering the phone at the South Hill location literally acts like she's doing you a favor by taking your order. It's pathetic.
Maybe one day Spokane will have a decent thin-crust pizza joint, until then, go to Famous Ed's... at least until David's comes back on it's own.
Horrible Cust Serv – I have made multiple attempts to order at this restaurant because the pizza is actually very good. I have had to cancel my order on three different occasions because they were either rude or their prices were not accurate on their website. They argued over their own coupons as well. They have delivered the wrong pizza to us twice and as good as it was, this means that two other orders were wrong as well. I have vowed to NEVER give them my money again. They dont appreciate their customers and I wont support a business like that. This was the South Hill Location. Shame on you Owner-Guy.. your rudeness just cost you loyal customers. You could at least update your online menu so you dont have to argue with customers over it. The pizza says 16 on line and you charge 22.60? UPDATE!!!! Why would I pay over 6 dollars more than the posted price?
horrible customer service – I used to live near Bennidito's and ordered from them a lot. I hadn't ordered from them since we moved because we were out of the delivery area. Recently we called and they said that they would deliver to us, we were excited. Well they screwed up the order, it took them 1:45 to get it to us and when I called and spoke with a girl that said "hold on so she can talk with her manager... they said...they get busy and there is nothing they can do about it." I was a little mad at this so I called back and asked to speak to the supervisor, she said hold on and I heard her ask him if he wanted to talk to me and he said no, she took down my number and said that he would call me back, that was 7 hours ago. Horrible customer service!
My favorite pizza in Spokane – I was not overly picky about pizza until I tried Bennedito's. We don't live in their delivery area but drive the 20 minutes it takes to get there anyway, just because we love their pizza so much. My favorite is the Margherita Pizza.
no customer service – I have eaten in restaurants all over the world and in many a town, but I have never felt more invisable as a customer than at beneditos. We had a server who was more important to himself than we were, and he managed to get us abeverage in 15 minutes, our order in 45 minutes. The food in one hour and fifteen, and our check after it was asked for - and then it was an inconvience to him - as he explained to me that as the restaurant was almost empty "he was busy". They were just unorganized and uncareing.
I can be disrespected for free, why should I pay money for terrible service, reasonable food, and small tables. They are obviously very impressed with themselves and need no customers.
I would never ever recomend going to Beneditos to anybody.
Best Crust West of the Mississippi – I am forced to visit Spokane on bussiness around 4 times a year and the only highlight of the trip
is a stop by Bennidito's. I have been eating pizza at this place for 12 years now. The only place I have found a better slice is in New York. Thin- fluffy and foldable crust with a great array of toppings. And the sauce is to die for. If Bennidito's ever ventures to Chicago I will be able to say my life has reached complete zen. '
Good toppings and variety but bland crust needs help!!! – I've tried Bennindito's a few times now and each time I have found it to be lacking due to the crust! As the above person said, the crust is super bland like a four water mixture. I just don't understand why they make it this way - the topping ingredients are good and fresh. The variety of pizza choices is pretty good. I really liked the antipasti salad that is on the menu. IF they would improve their crust the pizza would be great!
Meh – My family swears by this place (the one on Indian Trail), so I've had their pizza probably five or six times now.
The crust: tasteless and covered in flour.
The sauce: very flavorful.
The toppings: high quality, good combos, but skimpy.
Overall: you actually only get about a half a pizza, all crammed toward the middle of the dough. The rest is bland bread, and if you're lucky, a bit of sauce on top. Even the cheese only reaches to about two or three inches from the edge. The meat pizza seems to be an exception, but the pepperoni is the worst offender of our usual order.
Like I said, my family loves this place, but I just have not been impressed. I don't live in Spokane, so I don't know what pizza place I'd recommend above this, but I have to believe there's better pizza in this town, especially for the price.
