In Short – With classes ranging from 24 Hour Tease, a sexy strip aerobic class, to the more subdued Vinyasa flow yoga and butt-kickin' boot camp, this active sports club is packed with health conscious (and some insomniac) gym goers. Stocked with the latest cardio and weight-training equipment, this gym cranks up the pumping music, flicks on the Plasma TV sets, and lets fitness fanatics work out according to their own schedule. With affordable rates and a friendly, knowledgeable staff, personal training is another tangible get-fit option. And while the moniker is somewhat misleading, on…

Best Fitness deal in town

by L Wade

I've just completed visits to Golds, Curves, the YMCA and OZ.

OZ has BY FAR the best price for the facilities and hours.

Their facilites match the Y... and their classes roughly parallel the Y... without the injection of small children into the pool. Their prices are cheaper for individual memberships than the Y... while family memberships are more expensive. OZ has a few things the Y does not... Racquetball courts and a spinning classroom for example.

The womens locker/shower room was BY FAR the nicest one in town. I was very positively impressed!

Comments on the other "competition"...

Gold's Gym is the cheapest in town, but it's only machines and one classroom.

Curves is a set workout, and you "plateau" in around 9 months time and there are no showers.

Snap fitness is the only 24/7 but they have no pool and not always staffed. Your key card lets you in if there's no one on staff.

Spokane Club is the most expensive in town at $80-100/month plus hefty sign up fees. I didn't bother to even visit them.

  • Pros: Impressively nice facilities
  • Cons: A little too eager to sell me "extras"

OZ FITNESS IS A RIPOFF, STAY AWAY!

by OZFintessSucks

Sole me 24 hour memberships. Collected a lot of money. Then closed the gym for many hours a day, in particular during the time I wanted to use it. Refused to refund money, even partially. Unethical, sleezy. Avoid OZ Fintess, unless you want to pay for things you won't receive.

  • Pros: Based on their actions, should be out of business soon
  • Cons: They take your money, cancel services, keep your money
