Something fir everyone here. Serious. Something for everyone here. Serious about their rolls with pages of options! Nice choice of Nigiri with daily special offerings. Save your uni for the coast though!
Great Sushi with a Korean twist!.
I lived in various parts of Asia for over 25 years and of all the Sushi joints in the Spokane area, Sushi (dot com) is the leader by far! My kids and I spend at least 2 1/2 hours there every time we visit, which is often. Their Spider crab roll is probably one of the best alternative types of Sushi I have ever had-This includes the Sushi bars I frequent when in Hawaii. The service is great and the mix of Sushi Chefs behind the Bar is refreshing!
Go to Sushi (dot Com) and be adventurous! I have my kids order something different each time we go.
No good. I ordered chirashi. They put three kinds of sushi. I have never seen such a sad looking chirashi. It's not authentic Japanese. The people are not Japanese. Food is fine.
I drive from Sandpoint for this Sushi.. Always fresh. Sushi chefs are great. For nigiri, good amount of fish without the over doing it on the rice below.
Authentic Japanese Food.
I have eaten at just about every Japanese restaurant in town, with many disappointments. When I found myself at Sushi Com (which is actually Sushi Dot Com, but Citysearch doesn't allow it) I knew all my hard work and searching had paid off. I lived in Japan for many years and had always wanted something close to authentic and I found it here.
You'll find a very modest dining area, sparsely decorated but still comfortable.
Always sit at the sushi bar! It is the best way to experience the place! I went in with a friend on a slow day and the sushi chefs tried a few experimental rolls out on us, which was amazing.
The menu is extensive, many different sushi and sashimi options. Sushi is the roll with seaweed and sashimi is the slice of fish on the small rice bed.
You can get a California Roll, which is most likely the best one you'll ever have, but be adventurous! They have Eel, which tastes so much better than it sounds, Octopus, and some days they even have Sea Urchin. I have tried many different things there, despite my instinct to avoid them, and have never been disappointed. Order the Miso Soup, the Gyozas, the Tempura, the Teryaki - it's all delicious.
I love how affordable their menu is! I have never paid more than 20 dollars, even when adding Saki to my list.
If you order Saki - get it warm as it is traditionally served this way. Their House Saki is very tasty. If you've never had Saki you may want to start out with cold Saki as the taste is very different from any other alcohols out there. Saki has a very sour, almost briny taste, but it is very good and compliments the sashimi very well.
Don't forget the Green Tea Ice Cream, freshly made at the restaurant!
Enjoy!
Excellent sushi!. We really love sushi(dot com) My favorite thing to order is the Idaho Roll. They have excellent Chicken Teriyaki as well. They don't take reservations but I've never had to wait that long for a table. My only complaint is that sometimes the service is a little weird. On a few different occasions (when I have visited with a large group), they have completely forgot about a person's order. I can understand a one-time thing, but when it becomes a pattern...maybe it's time to work on that. They also tend to bring food out at weird times instead of serving everyone at the same time. All of that being said, I love this restaurant because their sushi is delicious. All of their employees are very friendly. Silly name for a restaurant though...
