Fantastic Service! – November 14, 2011-Mark arrived to clean out our pipes just a few hours after we called them. He got his equipment in and had our pipes cleaned out within an hour and a half. He informed us of a treatment system that we need to have to avoid the 300 dollars we pay every single year. Our house has a ton of trees and every single year, we get backed up and have to have them come out to save us. He told us exactly what the root treatment will do for us and how much it will cost. It sounds like the perfect opportunity and exactly what we need. They did an awesome job!
Roto-Rooter Plumbers May 25, 2011 – We had water backing up in our shower, sink and toilet. Called Roto-Rooter and they sent a Mark, Service Technician to our house within a couple hours. Mark was excellent. He diagnosis the problem, removed the tree roots and made sure there was no water back-up. Mark also checked the rest of the plumbing in the house to make sure that it was working correctly. Mark was quick, efficient and very professional. Great service and excellent work.
got the job done, eventually – We had a plug deep in our drain two months ago, (march 25, 2011) and I had attempted to snake it myself to no avail. So after seeing Rotorooters high rating on here we decided to give them a shot on the Friday it occurred.
They were able to come out after I got off of work and take a shot at the plug. After two attempts without roots and finding that the plug was around 100 feet down the pipes, near the street outlet, they would have to come back later to use the jetter. The jetter and office were now closed after the two attempts so they said they could not come back till Monday, but that they would reseal the pipes so they could minimally be used. We said fine and they left while I went to go number1 to test it out. It flushed and then I heard water dripping in our crawl space where they had been working, so went to investigate while my girlfriend went pee. I got down there in time to see a geyser of water shooting from the clean out that was used to access the pipes and towards my furnace.
I made the mistake of not calling right away, whether the office was open or not. Well as you might guess, not only were we not using our water in the house the rest of the weekend, but our now soaked furnace would not turn on. And it was 29 that night outside. I had to go out to the hardware store early the next morning to buy a couple heater/fans to attempt to dry the area. By Sunday at 4pm we had heat again, after another sub 30 degree night.
Monday rolls around and they got here after work. I had phoned ahead from work as to what happened during our weekend of dehydration and cold, because you don't drink much when you have to drive somewhere to pee. I asked them to try and use some precaution this time as I didn't enjoy the lack of heat. They came out did the job and seemed sort of sorry about our weekend. Before leaving he had us test the furnace, as this time I turned it off while they worked, to be safe. It didn't start. Great. We investigated to find that yet more water had splashed our furnace, so I set my heaters to it and had them leave.
I was through dealing with them and the girlfriend called customer service to complain. First she complained about the having to wait all weekend. They responded there was no reason we had to wait more than till Saturday, they had normal weekend hours as well. Hmm. Then she complained about all the water that leaked into our crawl space and on to the furnace. They were supposed to seal the cap with a greasy goop to prevent this. Great. When further questioning in a later call, after customer service had apparently talked to the employees, he said that the reason we had to wait til Monday was because the crew that started our job worked mon-Friday and wanted to get the commission for using the jetter, which would be a good paycheck for them. And so either didn't tell the office to send anyone till Monday or made it sound like we really wanted them, specifically to do the job.
Are you nuts? We wanted the problem fixed! Not for things to be WORSE! After going back and forth the owner agreed to paying for Banner to inspect our furnace (how noble) and give us $100 off our bill. "in the name of customer service" is exactly what he said. This bill was $1000 for the 2 days of work. We didn't think that sounded very fair for what we went through and asked for more. He said "if you want anything more you will have to take me to small claims court." Ah yes, nothing says customer service like, if you don't like what we did, lawyer up, otherwise we don't care.
Needless to say I will never use, recommend, or spread good impressions about Rotorooter. They have lost me and many potential customers in the future through their terrible work ethic and handling of our business.
Also, I still have to use the fans to dry up the water down there, it's been a month since this happened.
Roto-Rooter gave great service – Derrick came on time and gave us a better price then expected. He took the time to explain what root of the problem was and gave us an inexpensive way to fix it.
Roto-Rooter Plumbers – 1/28/11
Called and made an appointment for later that day. Friendly staff and technicians - fixed my garbage disposal earlier in the month and came back a few weeks later to snake and fix a bathroom sink drain.
Friendly service guy- asked if I could fix the problem on my own, he seemed to be real with me. Finished the job in < 20 minutes. Only downside... pretty PRICEY for even "simple" plumbing issues. That said, they always do a good job. I used an online coupon as well by logging into their website.
Made appointment online for next day. They called next morning and were even able to come out earlier than expected! Fixed the problem. Nice and friendly. Thanks!

Owning my own business, I appreciate quality and honest service. Paul H. did excellent work and, as important in my mind, was completely professional and honest in dealing with our problem. He explained in detail what could be done and what should be expected and gave us the option to make an informed decision. He completed his work in a timely fashion and helped alleviate the fears we had about dealing with a blocked sewer main (that had flooded our basement). The problem is fixed now and I am more than satisfied. I will be calling Roto-Rooter for my regular service from now on.
Roto-Rooter Plumbers SERVICE DATE: 7-12-10 – I called Roto Rooter on 7-12-10 and they were at my house at noon that very same day! Very fast and very friendly service! My laundry room is no longer flooding and I couldn't be happier! You should definately choose Roto-Rooter if you need this service, it gets done right the first time!
Roto-Rooter Plumbers 6/23/10 – The man that came was very nice, however the price was completely unreasonable. They charged $140/hour. I called them because it was easy, but after calling several other plumbers in the area the hourly price is around $75. Plus he was only here approximately 10 minutes so charging for the full hour is quite unreasonable. I will never use them again for anything.
roto rooter – it was interesting to watch the tech work.
