Just wow!. I can't believe there are only two reviews on how bad this place is. I wanted this place to be good. I went twice and both times where awful. The first time the service was insanely slow that I had to get up and get water refills myself. The food looked good but was dry and cold. The second time hoping it was just a fluke the first time, but it wasn't. We arrived with only one table of two there. It quickly filled up. We had put our order in before anyone else arrived. The service was very slow still no water or salad. We sat there for an hour and watched people get there drinks and soups/salads and still we received nothing. I asked to see the manager and that took another ten minutes. We finally walked out after an hour and a half with no food. I can't believe people go there. If you have time on your hands and don't mind getting blow off by the staff by all means go there. What a major disappointment!

Looking for a really long wait, try Hay J's Bistro!!. I have gone to Hay J's twice now and both times have left extremely irritated. The service is beyond slow - it is excruciatingly slow. I have gone twice during lunch time on a weekday. Once there were only three tables with people and the other time there were about ten tables with people. Regardless each time it took 45 minutes plus to get sandwiches and salad. The wait staff makes no effort to check in with you during the long wait and we sat for sometime with empty drinks. Once the food did come we had to ask for to-go boxes and our cards to be run right then. They seem shocked by this each time which is funny as most people only have a one hour lunch break and they knew we were on our lunch break. I almost walked out this last time as McDonald's sounded a lot more tempting and a lot quicker but each time held off with the mindset of "the food will be right out" - well I should of walked out. The food is ok, but a bit over priced. Overall I will not try them again, too slow of service, mediocre food, and overpriced. BOO!

Awesome restaurant. The food at Hay J's Bistro is outstanding! I have eaten there several times, both for lunch and dinner. I bring friends from out of town to this restaraunt to show them Liberty Lake's finest cuisine- You don't have to go to Spokane to have an awesome dining experience.

Their unique salads are to die for. I love them all but my favorite is the Ladeiu (sp?). Such a scrumptious combination of tastes and textures.

The rest of the menu is awesome as well, the soups, the bread, the entrees, all of it.

Try it for yourself, as Justin B states "You will be hooked."

WOW FANTASTIC. The food at HayJ's is awesome, what a great menu. Parmesan Crusted Halibut out of this world. PLEASE do not pay attention to the other review, that person is sadly mistaken. You must try HayJ's and I guarantee you will be hooked. LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT

stay away. what a joke. the service was so bad it actually became funny. despite having reservations, we waited for an hour for our table. two hours passed and we still hadn't gotten our entrees. i asked for our wine to be served with dinner, but it was served an hour before we got dinner - a ploy to run up the bill, perhaps? not one, but two beef orders came out over cooked and tough. when they brought out a redone dish, they literally brought just the meat - not the mashed potatoes that my 83 year old mother ate while waiting for them to get the order close to right. have you ever seen less than the full plate served when the restaurant is trying to make it right? have you have seen a waitress say, with a straight face, your order will be right out -when the other six people at the table were more than half way done with their meal? i haven't laughed that hard in a long time.

the restaurant graciously comped the meal that wasn't eaten and our appetizers, which they had said they'd comp during the hour we waited for our reserved table, so really - big deal. the restaurant also comped 4 desserts for 7 people - without actually asking what we preferred. the topper was staff sweeping the floor while we waited to pay our check it was the worst birthday dinner ever - it was so bad it actually became funny. well, except for the bill. they should have comped the whole meal and waited to clean up after we left - it wasn't our fault it was almost 10:30 p.m. we did arrive at 6:45.....
